The communications provided by Wintershall during the Arab Spring in Libya has tonight been honoured with this year’s PR Report Award in Berlin in the category best Issue- and Crisis Management. Wintershall not only set up a crisis team and a hotline for employees and relatives but also launched comprehensive aid measures. Wintershall started testing biopolymer schizophyllan in the field! The principle of the first test in Bockstedt is simple: the biopolymer is mixed with production water, pumped into the oil formation and increases the oil production rate on the surface.
