Two prizes for HR and Business Development

For the third year in a row Wintershall has won one of the prestigious prizes in the Annual Employer Brand Survey conducted by Scouting, a HR recruiting company. Managers and experienced specialists in the oil and gas industry have been asked to answer questions in a yearly survey. Also yesterday, Wintershall Norge was awarded as Business Developer of the Year by Rystad Energy.

"We are very satisfied with the HR price", says Tone Samuelsen, Head of HR in Wintershall Norge. "In the two previous surveys we have also been among the top three companies. This survey is the most reliable source of data when it comes to employer brand perceptions in the industry. The target group and the kind of questions asked render the survey unique, even internationally".

Wintershall Norge also is the Business Developer of the Year: on Wednesday Rystad Energy awarded Wintershall Norge with the Gullkronen 2013 (gold crown) in this category. The jury bestowed the title to Wintershall due to the asset-swap with Statoil. The event highlights performances and achievements made by companies involved in the oil and gas business during the previous year. Five prizes were awarded for achievements in the E&P-business, three prizes for the oil service sector and one honor-prize. The jury consisted of representatives from industry and Rystad Energy.

Wintershall currently employs more than 250 staff in Norway from 16 different nations. With 44 % the company has an exceptionally high female share within the Norwegian oil industry sector. In 2012 Wintershall Norge acquired equity in the producing field Brage from Statoil and the aim is to become operator. Wintershall also acquired stakes in the producing fields Gjøa and Vega.
